BV Coastal Estates Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 brings to mind one word: “juicy”. This cab’s nose features ripe berry notes with hints of vanilla and spice. The flavor offers blackberry, raspberry, chocolate, and cherry notes, with spice and oak playing a lesser role. The peppery notes come on stronger in the finish. In many ways, it resembles BV Coastal Estates Zinfandel, which we also found to be a “very berry” wine, albeit with a zin character.
The Beaulieu Vineyard website describes their Cabernet Sauvignon as “very easy to drink” – we can heartily agree with that statement. This wine’s fruity but moderately complex character makes it the kind of wine lots of people can appreciate.
The worst cab I have ever tasted in my life. Bought two bottles from Costco. Both went to the sink.
Hmmm, doesn’t sound like the same stuff. Maybe they stored it poorly.

You buy your wines at Costco…you may have not gotten a quality bottle that was stored at proper temperature throughout. Tt’s a delicious Cab Sauv, there is a slight ‘echoing’ on the palette with a velvety finish. I actually like that finish because it doesn’t discriminate. It can be served to a wide variety of individuals with different tastes and satisfy their needs quite nicely.
