Georges Duboeuf Merlot 2003 comes in a bottle with the firm’s signature label – a prominent flower. This one looks like a poppy or hibiscus. It’s flagged as a “red table wine”, but it’s actually not bad. Its aroma is nicely fruity. The flavor isn’t as fruit-forward as some Merlots, but it has good berry, plum, and oak notes. It’s a well structured wine, with a rather juicy finish. It’s a nice Merlot that rises above the genre.
For a well under $10, this is a nicely complex Merlot. We recommend it.
I purchased several bottles of your 2003 & 2004 Merlot Red Table Wine and LOVED IT!!!! The label on my bottle has the flower, but that’s the only similarity.
Can I purchase a case?

We just write about them, we don’t make them! Since this is a French import, your best bet for a case purchase would be to contact the shop where you bought it (and perhaps a couple of others) to try to work out a better price. If your state permits mail order shipments, you might hunt around the Web for an even better deal, though for an inexpensive wine like this shipping might add more to the per-bottle cost than you save.
is this wine, merlot with poppy on label, still in distribution?
