Having just tried the Yellow Tail Shiraz, we wanted to taste the Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 as well. Surprisingly, we liked the cab a bit more. It’s a wine with broad appeal. A spicy aroma leads to a robust, balanced blend of cherry fruit, oak, spice, and tannins. The finish is pleasantly dry.
This is a wine that won’t offend, and will please all but the more sophisticated palates. Bring it to a party or serve it with steaks on the grill. As with their Shiraz, this Cabernet Sauvignon demonstrates why Yellow Tail has been so successful in the U.S. market. This cab is highly drinkable but not intimidating.
